Description

We are looking for an organized candidate to join our Team as a Fleet Manager with strong objective abilities! Our Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s fleet of cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Develops schedules and procedures and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company’s fleet.
  • Collaborates with managers and staff to control and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
  • Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
  • Maintains detailed record of vehicle inspection, servicing, warranties, registration, and driver assignments.
  • Provides information for drafting reports on department operations and expenses.
  • Makes recommendations for deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
  • Utilizes GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles.
  • Comply with U.S Department of Transport laws and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management desirable.
  • DOT experience a plus.
  • Three years of related fleet maintenance or repair work experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn fleet management operations and software.
  • Ability to build schedules.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting performing desk work.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds unassisted at times.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
