Compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physician to join our well-established pediatric practice in Mississippi. This full-time position offers a combination of both inpatient and outpatient care, providing you with the opportunity to work closely with a team of 3 physicians, 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs), and 1 Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care to children, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. This position involves rotating on-call responsibilities for inpatient care, as well as rotating weekend coverage.

Compensation: $389,420 annually
On-Call: Rotated for inpatient care and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common childhood illnesses and conditions.
Perform inpatient and outpatient care for children, including well-child check-ups, acute care visits, and ongoing management of chronic pediatric conditions.
Collaborate with a team of 3 physicians, 2 PNPs, and 1 FNP to deliver exceptional, coordinated care for pediatric patients.
Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide health education to patients and families.
Conduct physical exams, interpret lab and diagnostic test results, and offer preventative care.
Manage a broad spectrum of pediatric conditions, including respiratory illnesses, infections, injuries, and developmental concerns.
Participate in on-call rotation for inpatient coverage, providing emergency care and hospital visits as necessary.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including nurses and specialists, to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Maintain up-to-date, accurate medical records in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the team of PNPs and FNP, offering support in patient care and professional development.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Pediatrics.
Valid medical license to practice in Mississippi.
Strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Commitment to delivering high-quality care and ongoing learning in the pediatric field.
Experience with pediatric emergencies and ability to handle acute inpatient care as part of the on-call rotation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a busy pediatric practice with a combination of inpatient and outpatient care.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
